3M™ PELTOR™ SportTac™ Active Protection Earmuffs
An advanced protective earmuff featuring "active ambient listening." Its key difference from ordinary passive earmuffs is that it uses a built-in electronic circuit and external microphones to amplify faint ambient sounds (such as conversation or footsteps), while instantly activating electronic noise reduction protection the moment it detects a harmful high-decibel noise (such as gunfire or an explosion). This "smart listening" design lets the wearer protect their hearing without being cut off from the surrounding environment.
